Shopping spree

hey guys,

I’m going to Martha’s Vineyard soon for the first time and I’m beyond excited. This of course means I had to do a bit of summer shopping to be ready.

Finding shorts can be quite a struggle for me. I don’t like most of what I try on but I finally found a pair I liked in forever 21. I decided to pick these up in 2 different colors since I liked them so much. I picked an army green color and a dark khaki color. They were $14.90 a piece.  Then I went to Victoria secret and they were having their semi annual sale. I picked up one of their long shirts that are quite popular. I thought it would make a good cover up for a bit colder day since its kind of heavy. It was marked down to $26.

Lastly I went to H&M to pick up a few more things. First I got a bathing suit top that I absolutely love. I rarely see a gray swimsuit and this one is just such good quality especially for the price. ($17.95)  I also picked up an army green tank top dress as a coverup as well. It’s really see through but it is the most comfortable dress in the world. It was 2 for $10 so my friend and I each got one.   The last thing I picked up was a black romper which is just very basic but really pretty and lightweight. It was only $9.95

I hope all your summers are going well

My Oldest and Most Loved Bronzer

Hey guys,

Today I thought I’d share with you guys the bronzer I’ve been using basically since I started with makeup. I’m not very experimental with makeup considering I’m no expert in this area, but I’m going to share what I love about this product.

 002 003

If I’m honest I’m not sure if they even sell this anymore but I’m sure they at least have a similar product in their line if not. It’s the bareMinerals READY Bronzer in The Skinny Dip. As much as I try to deny it, I have a pretty light skin tone. Even in the summer I barely tan, so I find this bronzer is good for every season. It blends really well with my skin and is matte so you can use it for contouring as well as to add color. I usually apply this in the usual places. (The hollows of my cheeks and lightly around my forehead and nose) I’m pretty sure this is the lightest in the range so if you have a darker skin tone and think this is too light for you, there may be some other options as well. I’ve used this bronzer on and off for close to 4 years now, and I’ve only had to repurchase it once. I use a real Techniques brush to apply it. I love these brushes so much they’re one of my favorites.

Hope you guys enjoyed this review and let me know if you guys want to see anything in particular for my next post.

Mini Haul

Hey guys,

This past week I’ve been on vacation with some skiing and much needed relaxing break from school. As you can probably tell from the title I did a little shopping while I was away. It is a mini haul though, because after trying on clothes in the first store, I didn’t really feel like trying anything else on. I don’t know of that happened to any of you guys but I just loose motivation especially if I’m cold or hot. (Trust me it was plenty cold where I went) Anyway let’s get started.

The first place I stopped was H&M, which my wardrobe is probably 75% from there I absolutely love it there! They had a ton of great new clothes for spring. As i said earlier it was freezing where I was staying so spring was the furthest from my mind. I did, however, manage to find a couple things I liked.

    011  013

I’m completely obsessed with skater dresses, they’re really flattering on my figure so I usually gravitate toward them. I love the straps on this on, the cross in the back is a really cool addition to a relatively plain dress. As you’ll also see I tend to gravitate towards black and white so I can add color with my accessories.

014

This dress is probably my favorite purchase. It is such good quality and the material is a little heavier so it can be worn in any season. Again it’s a skater dress but with a bit more flared bottom.

010 009

The last thing I bought from H&M was this peplum top. It also is a bit of a thicker material and I think it’s perfect for a fancier event paired with leggings. However, paired with jeans I think you could also make this casual as well.

I also stopped at Sephora because I still had a gift card from Christmas. (I don’t know if it’s just me but I take forever to use my gift cards) I heard some really great things about the soap and glory scrubs. I really like to exfoliate my legs before shaving because I think it gives you a closer shave and make your legs a lot softer. I chose to try the sugar crush body scrub because it smelt so amazing and I’ve heard great things about it. Even as I was walking around the store looking to see if I wanted anything else, four different workers there stopped me to tell me how much they loved the product. I’ve only used it once so far but I love it. It exfoliates so well and leaves you feeling extremely soft. I would highly recommend it.

Hope you guys enjoyed this mini haul and I would definitely recommend doing some shopping of your own soon there’s a lot of cool new trends out right now and a lot of new things for the spring.

A Week of Outfits

Hey guys,

So this week i decided to photograph the outfits I wore to school to show you what I usually wear throughout the week. I hope this may give you some outfit ideas or inspiration. Just as a little disclaimer, I usually dress pretty causal to school and I know that might not be allowed everywhere and this also may not be your style but I hope you like it!

So Monday we actually had a snow day so I just hung out in my sweatpants and sweatshirt and I highly doubt you want to see that.

You can probably see a bit of a pattern here with the stores I like to shop at and although there’s not quite as much from Forever 21 and H&M this week, those are definitely my two favorite stores. They have the absolute best clothes, especially if you’re willing to dig and hunt for them. (Forever 21 can be a little overwhelming for me at times) Also the only jeans I wear are from American Eagle, they are very good quality and they usually have some deals going on.

I hope you guys liked this and maybe I’ll do some more of them in the future if you did. Let me know!

Summer Shopping

Hey guys,

Today is my first official day out of school!! With the end of school and the amazing weather we’ve had recently, I decided to do a little shopping

012

The first place I stopped at was Old Navy. I’m completely obsessed with Old Navy’s flip flops for summer time. They are comfortable, sturdy, and affordable (two pairs are $5). I’ve used mine so much that I decided to pick up another pair in both black and white.

 013015

Next I was off to Target. I just recently discovered both 5 Seconds of Summer and Sam Smith. Since then I’ve been listening to them on repeat, I decided to get both their albums. I also recently got an upgrade to the iPhone 5s so I was in desperate need of a phone case.

016017019018

(Sam Smith album- $11.99 5SOS Ep- $4.99 iPhone case- $14.99)

One of my favorite stores of all time is H&M. I think they have the most gorgeous clothes for every season.

026

I wasn’t sure about this dress at first since the pattern is kind of different for me, but the shape is so flattering. It comes in at the waist and flares out at the hip, but not as much as a skater dress would. I adore this dress and it was only $18.

027 028

I love the color of this next dress. it has cap sleeves and a scoop neck. It has a higher waist then the last dress and flares out more. It is a little shorter and a heavier material with a subtle flower design. I think it will be lovely for a summer night out when it’s a little cooler. It was $25.

029

The last store I popped into was forever 21. They had so many beautiful clothes, but the store was so big and busy that I didn’t get to see most of it. I did pick up a couple things though.

020

The first thing I got was a blue knit crop top. It hangs loosely and is perfect with high-waisted shorts. It was $14.80.

025

Here is a close up of the material.
024

I was all ready to checkout, but at the register they have a bunch of little things to look at while you’re waiting in line. I’ve always wanted to try a sheet mask so when I saw this one with tea tree oil in it I decided to try it. I’m not sure if it’ll even work, but for $1, it’s worth it. If you have tried any good sheet masks let me know!

That’s what I’ve bought for summer so far, I hope you enjoyed it. Have a great summer!

My Skincare Routine

Hey guys,

Today I thought I’d share with you my daily skincare routine to show you what I use on a daily basis.

Morning:

When I first wake up I like to exfoliate my face with the St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub. I do this every other day so I don’t dry my skin out too much. I find this actually helps me wake up in addition to preventing acne. After washing my face I pat it dry and moisturize with CeraVe hydrating cleanser before putting my makeup on.  Image

Night:

At night I use either the Burt’s Bees facial cleansing wipes, or the Kirkland daily facial wipes. I find that if I’m not wearing as much makeup then I tend to use the Burt’s Bees wipes, but if I’m wearing a bit more makeup that day I’ll use the Kirkland wipes because they tend to remove more. After I take all my makeup off, I rinse my face then I use the Aveeno Positively Radiant skin Brightening Daily Scrub. This is supposed to even your skin’s tone and texture, however I’ve just recently added it to my routine so I haven’t formed an opinion on it yet. This claims to be gentle enough to use everyday as well.

So that is it for my dail skincare routine. I hope it was helpful and you enjoyed it!

New Years Eve Nails

Hey guys,

So I know this is a little late but I wanted to show you what I wore on my nails for a New Years’s Eve Party. I went for a blue sparkly nail polish from elf called dark navy. Usually with sparkly nail polish you have to apply multiple coats, but not with this one, it only has a subtle hint of sparkle when your nails hit the light. I really loved wearing it. So i applied one coat of that and put a top coat on this one is by H&M. And that’s my New Year’s Eve nails done

Image Hope you enjoyed this post and I will be sure to blog more in the new year!!

What are some of your New Year’s resolutions?

My New Go To Foundation

Hey guys,

I first want to start off by saying I’m terribly sorry for not blogging in a long time but between school and sports I haven’t had a spare second. It’s now a Sunday morning and I have some free time, so I thought what better way to spend it then sharing with you guys my latest obsession. I honestly couldn’t begin to explain in words how much I enjoy this product. Especially for the price it is fantastic. It was around $20 i can’t remember exactly. Now that I’ve got that out of the way here we go.

The Sephora 10HR wear perfection foundation.

Image

I have put this foundation through everything humanly possible, and it has stood up to everything. It says it’s medium coverage, but it is very buildable. Since I am a teenager I do have acne problems and this foundation has the best coverage for my skin type and acne. It covers redness and lasts a while just like it claims. Now as I said I have put this through a lot. Although I don’t recomend it, I have worn it while playing soccer, and even during a down pour it stayed pretty well. It is NOT a waterproof foundation, but it does last relatively well in the rain. As you can see by the picture I have used a lot of it, it is my everyday go to foundation and I will 100% be purchasing it again.

Hope you guys enjoyed this review and it was helpful to you. If you have any amazing products you want to share with me be sure to leave them in the comments below.

Sally Hanson Nail Polish

Hey guys,

So I’ve decided to do another review. This time on a Sally Hanson Nail Polish in Peach of Cake.

Image

First of all, how adorable is that name? Props to the nail polish namer!! Is that a job? Oh my god that would be so awesome. Anyway onto the review.

So I’m literally in love with any peach colors during the warmer months and this one in particular has become one of my favorites. The brush is so big and easy to use and the most you’d have to do 2 coats. Which is great!! Plus it dries so fast. It’s just all around a great nail polish.

Have any of you tried one of these before? If so what’s your favorite? I hope this was helpful to you guys love you xxx

Pantene Curl Defining Mousse Review

Hey guys,

Sorry I haven’t been posting anything recently my computer broke and I had to send it out to be fixed but I’m back now!!

So as the title says I’m reviewing Pantene’s curl defining mousse.

Image This mousse has been by far my favorite mousse I’ve ever tried. It’s perfect for people with curly hair.

It controls frizz and defines your curls without making your hair crunchy, which is the worst part pf using mousse.

I would suggest maximum hold 4 if you want the same results, but it has worked incredibly well for me and I would recommend this mousse to everyone.

It lasts all day as well so overall, a great purchase.

Hope you guys have been doing well if you want a review on anything in particular let me know in the comments below and subscribe to this blog for more!!!
